FONO is a new hi-fi lounge and event space designed for connection, creativity, and community, opening in Ottawa’s Centretown in early 2026.

These days, digital discoverability is everything for IRL businesses. Brands need to be digitally fluent to stand out in the crowded world of social media — the new recommendation and taste-making machine. That’s why FONO’s founder and creative director came to us to bring the brand to life with an evocative logo animation and social graphics ahead of the launch.

The Challenge

The Solution

After some creative exploration, which yielded almost two dozen versions, we circled back to the original idea for the logo animation: spinning records. Sometimes the simplest, most obvious concept really is the strongest. It’s literal but in a pleasing way, and perfectly encapsulates the brand’s smooth, laid-back feel as “Centretown’s living room”.

With just a few months left before launch, FONO is well equipped with dynamic creative assets that can be re-used and repurposed across digital touch points. The logo animation, in particular, will serve FONO well as they continue to produce content for their socials.
